USDA Agricultural Research Service
The USDA-Agriculture Research Service (ARS) Range Sheep Production Efficiency Research Unit is seeking Summer student interns for the 2023 season for Dr. Hailey Wilmer’s field crew. These internships will be assigned to assist with several field data collection projects primarily in mountain big sage sagebrush and sub-alpine tall forb communities. These projects seek to quantify the effects of rangeland management activities (prescribed fire, grazing, and herbicide treatments) on vegetation production and diversity, and other production and wildlife habitat outcomes. Internships will focus on: 1) Rangeland field data collection, organization, and entry; 2) Assisting with experimental equipment and infrastructure; 3) Plant identification.
