Informing Policy Makers

Through the Society, rangelands have a voice in political Capitols of the world. We ensure rangeland management is a priority of decision makers, so we can better meet the challenges of managing the world’s rangelands in a sustainable manner for the future generations and continue to support the many careers and livelihoods connected by rangelands.

The Society for Range Management maintains a strong and visible presence in the US Capitol through our DC office. Wherever conversations regarding the stewardship of rangelands are taking place SRM is at the forefront. Our policy committee members ensure Congressional members and staff have access to the latest science and data regarding land use and management, which better informs decisions made in range related policy and legislation.

**SRM members receive exclusive communications, “Capital Updates”, that provide up-to date information about range related policy on Capitol Hill.**
