On Thursday, October 31st, DC Liaison Lia Biondo testified on behalf of the Society in front of the National Wild Horse and Burro Advisory Board regarding the overpopulation of wild horses and burros on public lands. Currently, the wild horse population is nearly four times over the Appropriate Management Level. Urgent action is needed to reduce on-range population numbers and restore areas where rangeland degradation has become unsustainable.
