Lake County Agriculture Educator

Do you have a passion for agriculture, natural resources, and community development? OSU Extension is seeking an innovative and collaborative Extension Agriculture Educator to provide leadership and educational programming for Lake County. Based in Lakeview, Oregon, this full-time position focuses on delivering non-credit education in range, forage production, livestock, and general agriculture while fostering strong connections with local producers, organizations, and agencies.

The Division of Extension and Engagement and the Extension Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources Program invite applications for an Agriculture Educator to serve in Lake County. This posting has been reopened in order to expand the original applicant pool. Qualified candidates will have:

•Bachelor’s degree in animal sciences, rangeland sciences, natural resources, agriculture, or a closely related field. Degree must be completed by the start date

•Demonstrated teaching (formal and/or informal) skills appropriate for adult learners

•Transferable skills and knowledge of beef cattle, irrigated forage, and/or arid-climate rangeland production systems

•Ability to plan, organize, manage and evaluate, non-formal education programs

•Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate successfully with a broad and diverse audience.
