Chief Programs Officer and Principal Scientist
East Wildlife Foundation
San Antonio, TX

The Foundation’s mission is “to support wildlife conservation and the other public benefits of ranching and private lands stewardship.  Our mission is achieved through research, education, and outreach.”  The Foundation owns more than 215,000 acres of native South Texas rangeland.  The first Chief Programs Officer will play a key role in the development of strategic direction, and the design and operation of research, education, and outreach programs. 

Candidates should have at least 10 years of post-graduate experience (Ph.D. preferred) with project management/supervisory experience; an understanding of key issues related to wildlife, livestock, and native rangeland, and substantial knowledge of ranching in South Texas or land with similar climate and challenges.
