2019 USFS IP Seminar on Livestock Grazing Management sponsors 19 new International Members to SRM

The USFS International Program (IP) Seminar on Grazing Management, now in its 5th year, took place earlier this year.  This is a 2 week traveling seminar during which they visit several ranches, teach a range school at dude ranch in Nevada, spend a day with the Sho-Ban tribe at Ft. Hall and learn range monitoring on the Sawtooth NF.

Past President Wally Butler was invited to speak at the first seminar in 2014 and introduce the students to SRM and, not surprisingly, was a big hit.  Wally passed away before the 2015 seminar and USFS IP decided to give each student a one year international membership to SRM in his memory; a practice which has occurred for the last three years!

Thanks go out to SRM members and Rick Forsman (program coordinator), Lance Criley (rangeland management specialist) USFS IP coordinating team members Alison Holt, Rebecca Ciciretti and Angela Trujillo, as well as representatives from Sawtooth National Forest and from other agencies for this wonderful program!
